Delivering on the highest expectations

Here at Winstone Transport we put our customers and safety at the forefront of everything we do. We are proud to have highly trained and experienced drivers who undergo extensive in-house training and also complete the government's Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED) training scheme to ensure our ability to navigate any complex on-site requirements and exceed customer expectations every time.

We specialise in major contracts and thrive on customer requirements to shift high volumes in a timely manner. We take pride in maintaining our own fleet of modern truck and trailer units located across the country which are fitted with GPS so we can accurately dispatch and monitor shipments to keep our customers informed every step of the way.

A wide range of vehicles are readily available.

  • bulk alloy units (aggregate, sand, coal, produce, grain)
  • heavy-duty bisalloy rock units
  • high productivity motor vehicles capable of operating at greater than 50 tonne gross

Saving truck-loads when you have loads of trucks

Considerable effort and energy has gone into ensuring we use the latest fuel efficient engines with limited environmental impact. Winstone Aggregates employs inhouse trainers to ensure that our drivers are trained and maintained in the SAFED NZ (Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving New Zealand) driving standards.. Our commitment to driver development and the transport industry is apparent with our three in-house trainers for our Class 4-5 programme. These training initiatives have delivered significant value to our goal for continuous improvement in safety and fleet energy efficiency, and with our trucks’ performance monitored, set targets are being met, with some drivers showing decreases in fleet diesel usage by as much as 15%. This is aligned with our commitment to the 2020 carbon reduction.

Safety

Winstone Transport works hard to maintain the highest standards of health and safety by working on reducing risks to our team and the public.

All vehicles have Eroad Ehubo2 GPS and Safe Driver monitoring which monitors and reports on driver behaviour as well as giving drivers real time information on speed and speed changes.

Driver fatigue is always a concern, our drivers have regular fatigue management training and all our trucks are fitted with Guardian Seeing Machines which continually monitor the drivers’ attention to the road and uses physical and audible alerts to ensure that attention is on the road and that the driver is alert.
