Wellington Clean Fill Quarry

The Dry Creek Clean Fill site has carved out a historical place in New Zealand cinema. Beginning in 2000 it was the location for Peter's Jackson's Helm’s Deep and Deeping Well in The Two Towers, and for Minas Trinth in the Return of the King in the The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Winstone purchased Dry Creek from Downers Mining Ltd in 1996 and has used it as a clean fill site since 1999. Dry Creek services the Greater Wellington region.
